A DROP-IN Gamma Probe for Robot-assisted Radioguided Surgery of Lymph Nodes During Radical Prostatectomy

چکیده
The DROP-IN gamma probe was introduced to overcome the restricted manoeuvrability of traditional laparoscopic probes. Through enhanced and surgical autonomy, promotes implementation radioguided surgery in robotic setting. To confirm utility safety profile perform a comparison with fluorescence guidance. Twenty-five prostate cancer patients were scheduled for robot-assisted sentinel lymph node (SN) procedure, extended pelvic dissection, prostatectomy at single European centre. After intraprostatic injection indocyanine green (ICG)-99mTc-nanocolloid (n = 12) or 99mTc-nanocolloid + ICG 13), SN locations defined using preoperative imaging. Surgical excision SNs performed under image guidance probe, Intraoperative detection assessed different modalities related anatomical locations. Patient follow-up included (a median 18 mo). Overall, 47 pursued vivo by which 100% identified. No adverse events its use observed. In imaging identified 91% these SNs. only 76% SNs, where inaccuracies appeared be specific regions. Owing improved manoeuvrability, yielded rates compared These findings underline that technology provides valuable tool Radioguided novel is feasible safe. It enables more efficient intraoperative identification nodes than can achieved probe. combination allows complementary optical confirmation localisations.

CyberKnife Ablation of a Solitary Para-Aortic Lymph Node Metastasis After Robotic-Assisted Radical Prostatectomy
Introduction: Radical prostatectomy is an effective curative treatment option for organ-confined prostate cancer. There is a recent trend in offering curative treatment to patients with oligometastatic disease. More sensitive imaging modalities can identify oligometastatic disease that is not usually detected by conventional imaging techniques. Case presentation: We present a case in which a s...

متن کاملRobot-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy
Robot-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy (RALRP) using the da Vinci surgical system is now in widespread use in many countries where economic conditions allow the installation of this expensive technology. Controversy has surrounded the procedure since it was first performed in 2000, with many critics highlighting the lack of evidence to support its use. However, despite the lack of le...
متن کاملCurrent technique and results for extended pelvic lymph node dissection during robot-assisted radical prostatectomy
The practice of extended pelvic lymph node dissection (ePLND) remains one of the most controversial topics in the management of clinically localized prostate cancer. Although most urologists agree on its benefit for staging and prognostication, the role of the ePLND in cancer control continues to be debated. The increased perioperative morbidity makes it unpalatable, especially in patients with...
